MissionsWe are a missions-minded church, both in our community and around the world. Our current pastor served as a missionary to Argentina and our former pastor is currently serving in South Africa. We have taken many short-term mission trips within the United States and around the world and are always planning more. Recent trips have taken us to Mexico, Tajikistan and the Gulf Coast to work with Hurricane Katrina relief.
As a church we support several missions agencies financially, principally the International Mission Board of the SBC. We are also very involved in our community through local missions projects. We work every year at the NC State Fair as well as in other community events. We have members involved in on-going ministry in West Virginia, Haiti and Mexico as well as locally through food shelters, crisis pregnancy centers, benevolent ministries, Hispanic ministry and many other ways.
